The year 2022 has been a nightmare for Pakistan on the economic front. Everything is much more expensive as we witness decades-high inflation , the rupee has plummeted, there are fears the country may default as the central bank’s reserves remain critically low and industry is struggling to operate with many large companies partially suspending operations. The already fragile situation worsened when floods ravaged large parts of the country, destroying almost half the country’s agricultural land and sweeping away entire villages.
