In a horrific incident that went viral in no time, a man committed suicide after killing his wife, two children after being asked not to hit pet dog. The incident happened in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, where a 45-year-old man reportedly killed his wife and two children with a sword and then to committed suicide. A drunk man who was identified as Dilip Pawar reached his home and started beating the pet dog angry over its presence in the house. His wife Ganga intervened asking him to leave the animal alone. This led to a fight and he killed her with a sword. When their 14-year-old son Yogendra and 17-year-old daughter Neha tried to protect their mother, he killed them too. His other two children, Devendra and Bulbul went up to the terrace after seeing the horrific incident and jumped from there to flee the house for safety. NORTH WAZIRISTAN: At least 11 laborers died and two injured in a bomb blast in Gulmir Kot, tehsil Shawal North Waziristan, ARY News reported. As per details, the police spokesperson said that the bomb exploded in a van in North Waziristan which resulted in the death of 11 laborers while two others sustained injuries. Earlier, at least 40 persons were killed, and 200 sustained injuries in the powerful bomb blast that targeted Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) workers’ convention. It was learned that nearly 400 people were attending the JUI-F worker convention on Shanday Morr near the NADRA office. Law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area. Seven people, including a six-year-old child, were killed and 129 wounded when a Russian missile struck a central square in the historic northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv, the interior ministry said on Saturday. People had been on their way to church to celebrate a religious holiday when the strike took place, the ministry said. Authorities began evacuations in Punjab on Friday after the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) issued an alert about “high to very high-level floods” in the Sutlej river. According to an advisory issued by the authority, the Sutlej river had reached an “extremely high-level flood level” at Ganda Singh Wala, adding the flows would be reflected and passed downstream to Sulemanki and Islam Headworks in the next 48 to 76 hours. In light of the high flows and probable dangers and vulnerability of areas astride the Sutlej river, the NDMA advised the Federal Flood Commission (FFC) to ensure the implementation of an elaborate coordination mechanism for preparedness and mitigation through the management and regulation of water reservoirs, barrages, headworks and irrigation canals. “The measures must ensure desynchronised releases from all reservoirs, regulating structures to preclude cumulative flooding in any regions. MUSCAT: Oman is on course to surpass its 2023 employment and replacement target of creating 35,000 jobs, with 18,716 public and private sector jobs created by June, reaching 53% of the yearly target. The latest figures from the Labor Ministry show the total number of new jobs in government and private sector entities touched 18,716 by the end of June. “Of these, a total of 9,169 jobs were made available in the government sector, and 7,399 jobs in the private sector,” the ministry said, adding that “53 percent of the Employment and Replacement Plan set for the second quarter of 2023 was realised.” The employment and replacement plan is a government initiative to increase job opportunities for Omani citizens and replace foreign workers with locals.
