Fazlur Rehman to be PM if JUI-F comes into power: Ghafoor Haideri

ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam senior leader Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has said Fazlur Rehman will be prime minister if JUI-F comes into power, ARY News reported.

Ghafoor Haideri in his statement said that the country will be run as per the constitution and JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman will be PM if they are elected into power.

Giving the plan after coming into power, Haideri said that wine shops will be banned across the country and the provinces will be given full autonomy.

The JUI-F senator advised PM Imran Khan to resign from his post as it is the better available option for him in the current scenario.

Earlier, it was learnt that the Pakistan Democratic Movement head Maulana decided not to lead the party’s ‘Mehngai Mukao March’ from Dera Ismail Khan.

Fazlur Rehman due to his engagements in Islamabad did not lead the party’s rally from DI Khan, which will be led by his son Maulana Asad Mehmood, sources said.

Karachi police to probe DIG Azfar Mahesar’s son’s viral firing videos

KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar ordered an inquiry after Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) East Azfar Mahesar’s son Asher’s aerial firing videos went viral on social media, ARY News reported. Earlier, video footage showed DIG Azfar Mahesar’s son brandishing different kinds of weapons and resorting to aerial firing in several videos posted on social media. Asher was seen in different locations, sometimes in a moving car, relentlessly conducting aerial firing. Speaking to ARY News, Lanjar said that he has ordered Karachi police to do a forensic examination of the videos and initiate action against DIG Mahesar if he is found guilty in the case. CJCSC addresses participants of 53rd PN Staff Course

RAWALPINDI: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza on Thursday visited Pakistan Navy War College Lahore and addressed the participants of the 53rd PN Staff Course. According to a press statement issued by the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), the CJCSC expressed his views on the armed forces’ efforts in confronting the multifaceted conventional and non-conventional challenges. General Sahir Shamshad Mirza said that the Pakistan Navy has always fulfilled the expectations for the protection of maritime borders. “The Pakistan Navy has a proud history of bravery and sacrifices for the motherland,” the CJCSC added.
