QUETTA: Five persons sustained injuries after the tank of an oil tanker exploded during welding work in Quetta, ARY News reported on Sunday.

Police said that the tank of an oil tanker exploded in the Hazarganji area of Balochistan’s capital Quetta, leaving five persons wounded. Police added that the explosion occurred during welding work.

The wounded persons were shifted to the trauma centre by the rescue workers.

In June, a video went viral on social media that showed a burning oil tanker was driven off by the driver when it caught fire at a petrol pump in Quetta.

The brave driver was identified as Muhammad Faisal who had driven off his vehicle when it caught fire at a petrol pump located on the aforesaid road.

Faisal who is a resident of Quetta recalled the nerve-wracking terrifying moments, “I thought now the oil tanker will explode and I will die.”

Karachi police to probe DIG Azfar Mahesar’s son’s viral firing videos

KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar ordered an inquiry after Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) East Azfar Mahesar’s son Asher’s aerial firing videos went viral on social media, ARY News reported. Earlier, video footage showed DIG Azfar Mahesar’s son brandishing different kinds of weapons and resorting to aerial firing in several videos posted on social media. Asher was seen in different locations, sometimes in a moving car, relentlessly conducting aerial firing. Speaking to ARY News, Lanjar said that he has ordered Karachi police to do a forensic examination of the videos and initiate action against DIG Mahesar if he is found guilty in the case. CJCSC addresses participants of 53rd PN Staff Course

RAWALPINDI: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza on Thursday visited Pakistan Navy War College Lahore and addressed the participants of the 53rd PN Staff Course. According to a press statement issued by the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), the CJCSC expressed his views on the armed forces’ efforts in confronting the multifaceted conventional and non-conventional challenges.
