The pictures of Pakistan fast-bowler Shahnawaz Dahani’s visit to his primary school in Larkana are going viral on Twitter.

The viral pictures showed the right-arm pacer sitting among students of Sindh Public School in Larkana’s Al-Madinah Colony.

The cricketer said it was an honour for him to visit and meet the teachers and students of his primary school, adding that he could only study till class six there as his father couldn’t afford to pay the fees.

He said he completed his matriculation at Govt. Pilot School Larkana. Moreover, the cricketer added that he did his I.Com & B. Com from Commerce College Larkana.

Shahnawaz Dahani has represented Pakistan in 13 limited-overs (T20I and ODI) fixtures and took nine wickets. He has played 40 T20 matches and taken 54 wickets.

Pakistan plans to transform optical fiber cable network into global digital gateway

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr Umar Saif on Wednesday said that the government had finalized a plan to transform Pakistan’s optical fiber cable network into a global digital gateway. The implementation of the proposed project would benefit Pakistan by millions of dollars, he disclosed while speaking in a high-level meeting. The meeting was attended by representatives of key organizations, including the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Special Communication Organization, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL), TransWorld, and CyberNet. He said that all the necessary resources and facilities had been provided for the digital gateway initiative. Progress made on Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project

ISLAMABAD: Progress was made on Pakistan and Iran gas pipeline project as both countries agreed on reviving the stalled cooperation and formal contacts will be started within a few weeks. It is pertinent to mention here that Iran gave Pakistan time until September 2024 to complete the project, otherwise, it may move to international arbitration for the breach of contract. Senator Muhammad Abdul Qadir, the Chairman of the Senate’s Standing Committee on Petroleum said that both sides will start formal contacts for the gas pipeline project within two to three weeks. The Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project has faced many delays due to the risk of US sanctions on Iran. The project remains substantially delayed.
