In a strange incident that went viral a 34-year-old man who went missing said he was ‘scared of wife’ found after 1.5 years.

The man named Noushad was traced from a village by police, a day after his 25-year-old wife, Afsana, was arrested in connection with his missing case. She had given a statement to the police saying that Noushad was killed and his body was buried.

Later, Noushad said that he “left the home as he was scared of his wife.” He alleged that he was thrashed by people his wife used to call.

The police arrested Afsana, his wife after she gave a misleading statement to the police. On his wife’s statement that Noushad was killed and buried by her, police took Afasana to certain places to recover his body.

The police, which had been investigating the missing case based on Noushad’s father’s complaint, summoned her to the Koodal station two days ago after she claimed that she had seen Noushad recently.

Pakistan plans to transform optical fiber cable network into global digital gateway

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr Umar Saif on Wednesday said that the government had finalized a plan to transform Pakistan’s optical fiber cable network into a global digital gateway. The implementation of the proposed project would benefit Pakistan by millions of dollars, he disclosed while speaking in a high-level meeting. The meeting was attended by representatives of key organizations, including the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Special Communication Organization, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL), TransWorld, and CyberNet. Progress made on Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project

ISLAMABAD: Progress was made on Pakistan and Iran gas pipeline project as both countries agreed on reviving the stalled cooperation and formal contacts will be started within a few weeks. It is pertinent to mention here that Iran gave Pakistan time until September 2024 to complete the project, otherwise, it may move to international arbitration for the breach of contract. Senator Muhammad Abdul Qadir, the Chairman of the Senate’s Standing Committee on Petroleum said that both sides will start formal contacts for the gas pipeline project within two to three weeks.
