Bollywood actress and supermodel Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is one of the most attractive celebrities in the world and people search for ways to replicate her looks.

An Indian minister went viral after a video of him saying that eating fish daily will make your eyes beautiful like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

“People who consume fish on a daily basis develop smooth skin and their eyes sparkle,” he said. “If anyone looks at you, the person will get attracted (towards you).

“Did I tell you about Aishwarya Rai? She lived near the seashore in Mangaluru. She would consume fish daily. Have you seen her eyes? You will also have eyes like her. The fish contain some oils, it makes your skin smooth.”

His statement did not sit well with politicians and civil society. Amol Mitkari of the Nationalist Congress Party said the lawmaker should focus on solving issues rather than passing such comments.

Nitesh Rane of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party said he eats fish daily but it has not happened to him. 

“I eat fish daily. My eyes should have become like that (like those of Aishwarya Rai). I will ask Gavit sahib if there is any research on this,” he said.

Pakistan plans to transform optical fiber cable network into global digital gateway

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr Umar Saif on Wednesday said that the government had finalized a plan to transform Pakistan’s optical fiber cable network into a global digital gateway. The implementation of the proposed project would benefit Pakistan by millions of dollars, he disclosed while speaking in a high-level meeting. The meeting was attended by representatives of key organizations, including the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Special Communication Organization, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL), TransWorld, and CyberNet. He said that all the necessary resources and facilities had been provided for the digital gateway initiative. Progress made on Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project

ISLAMABAD: Progress was made on Pakistan and Iran gas pipeline project as both countries agreed on reviving the stalled cooperation and formal contacts will be started within a few weeks. It is pertinent to mention here that Iran gave Pakistan time until September 2024 to complete the project, otherwise, it may move to international arbitration for the breach of contract. Senator Muhammad Abdul Qadir, the Chairman of the Senate’s Standing Committee on Petroleum said that both sides will start formal contacts for the gas pipeline project within two to three weeks. The Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project has faced many delays due to the risk of US sanctions on Iran. The project remains substantially delayed.
