A total of 35 individuals were hospitalized after consuming food from a local restaurant in Riyadh, ARY News reported on Sunday, citing the Health Ministry of Saudi Arabia.

The outbreak, food poisoning, has resulted in 27 affected individuals needing intensive care, with six making full recoveries and two being discharged after receiving necessary medical attention, as reported by Gulf News.

In response, Riyadh Municipality has closed the restaurant, its branches, and the central lab for extensive investigations to determine the outbreak’s cause.

As part of their ongoing dedication to public health, municipal authorities are maintaining strict health surveillance measures across the city.

The Ministry stated it is collaborating with various entities to conduct epidemiological studies, to reduce risks and enhance responses to any similar occurrences in the future.

Karachi police to probe DIG Azfar Mahesar’s son’s viral firing videos

KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar ordered an inquiry after Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) East Azfar Mahesar’s son Asher’s aerial firing videos went viral on social media, ARY News reported. Earlier, video footage showed DIG Azfar Mahesar’s son brandishing different kinds of weapons and resorting to aerial firing in several videos posted on social media. Asher was seen in different locations, sometimes in a moving car, relentlessly conducting aerial firing. Speaking to ARY News, Lanjar said that he has ordered Karachi police to do a forensic examination of the videos and initiate action against DIG Mahesar if he is found guilty in the case. RAWALPINDI: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza on Thursday visited Pakistan Navy War College Lahore and addressed the participants of the 53rd PN Staff Course. According to a press statement issued by the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), the CJCSC expressed his views on the armed forces’ efforts in confronting the multifaceted conventional and non-conventional challenges. General Sahir Shamshad Mirza said that the Pakistan Navy has always fulfilled the expectations for the protection of maritime borders. “The Pakistan Navy has a proud history of bravery and sacrifices for the motherland,” the CJCSC added.
